On Thursday 5th November we celebrated our 30th Anniversary here at our headquarters, with a visit from HRH The Duke of Kent.

HRH The Duke of Kent was first shown around the showroom by David Osborne our Managing Director and John Wright our Operations Director, who introduced The Duke of Kent to our diverse product range. In the Showroom, The Duke was introduced to Karl our R&D apprentice, Graham our Product Manager and Julian our Commercial Director.

Once the showroom tour was completed, The Duke of Kent was taken over to our Tray Manufacturing Plant, where he met Jamie, one of our apprentices and Anthony our Tray Plant Manager. Jamie showed The Duke the CNC Machine and discussed how it worked and Anthony showed off the finished products.

Once The Duke of Kent had finished the tour of our Tray Plant, they then went on to the factory, where the shower enclosures are manufactured.
The Duke was introduced to Alex who started working as an apprentice at Roman in 2001 and he is now the Manufacturing Manager and looks after a team of 60 people.

Alex, David and John introduced The Duke to various Roman Staff and talked him through the manufacturing process. The Duke walked down the manufacturing lines and then went on to meet staff from the Roman Customer Relations team. All Roman Staff were gathered around waiting for The Duke to pass them and unveil Roman’s 30th Anniversary plaque.

The Duke unveiled Roman’s 30th Anniversary Plaque and he congratulated Roman on their milestone anniversary and success. Deborah Green presented The Duke with a painting of Richmond Castle and thanked him for celebrating our 30th Anniversary with us.

After The Duke had left, David presented Deborah, our Finance Manager with a painting of her own horses for 25 years’ service. David then went on to present a painting of Roman Headquarters to Gerry Osborne, the Chairman of Roman. Gerry went on to cut our special 30th Anniversary cake, which everyone had a slice or two of.

All Roman Staff then made their way upstairs to where they each had a glass of champagne and enjoyed a buffet in celebration!
