With the launch of our new Roman Stone Gloss Infinity Shower Trays, we thought now would be a good time to have a look at Solid Surface Technology and why we think our own Roman Stone solid surface material is such a good material for the bathroom…
Benefits of our Roman Stone Solid Surface Material…
Solid surface material is hardwearing and scratch and stain resistant. Even if you were to damage it, the shower tray is the same material throughout, so it can easily be repaired. Its non-porous nature makes it ideal for use in the bathroom.
Our Roman Stone material is much stronger than other equivalent materials available on the market and it is self-reinforcing. The self-reinforcing nature means it can be used to make our Preformed Shower Floor, for creating wetrooms; and our low profile shower trays, as it can be laid directly onto your joists and it will still be supportive.

The Roman Stone Shower Tray has been laid down to joists, so that when tiled up to, it sits flush with the floor.
Our Roman Stone is warm to the touch, making it perfect for use underfoot in the bathroom, particularly with the UK’s colder climate.

With solid surface material, the design possibilities are endless. Roman now offers a range of Engineered Stone Trays which are all designed and manufactured at our UK head office. The range includes product specific trays, to suit our own unique enclosure shapes such as our Orbital Arc and Orbital Colossus.

Alongside the new gloss finish, our Infinity Trays are also available in a Matt finish.
Our Infinity Tray Range, offers a designer finish, with their solid surface waste cover, which gives a seamless finish. New to the Infinity Tray range is the option of a Gloss finish.

Our Sculptures Walk-in Trays feature a solid surface duckboard style drying area.
Our luxury Sculptures range also includes a choice of solid surface shower trays to suit selected products from the range. These incorporate a stainless steel designer waste. The Walk-in Trays from the Sculptures Range also include an integrated duckboard style drying area, which is manufactured from the same solid surface material as the tray, for a longer lifespan.
Alongside our simulated stone shower trays, we also use our Roman Stone material in our Luxury Shower Seat.
